2010 – The HUGE CARD
I took a photo of my youngest daughter and had it printed on a mesh material, much like a trampoline material. The card was approximately 40 feet high and actually was constructed like a normal greeting card with the sentiment inside. During the ARTPRIZE event we had people sign the inside of the card.
Family Tree
This was an 8 foot x 8 foot charcoal drawing of my interpretation of a family tree. I used photography as a starting point for each family member in the art.
Class Is In Session
For this entry I was wanting to bring focus to the fact that school systems were cutting programs and the first programs to go were the arts usually. I created a 3D classroom with flat students done in various mediums. With each student I took their photo at a desk, drew or painted them, cut them out and then attached them to a 3D desk.
evolutionARy
I created 25 – 18″ x 18″ oil paintings that were inspired by classic artists and artworks. I placed them in a 5 x 5 grid for the layout. I then used the Wisck software to make the paintings interactive with augmented reality.
Changing
This entry was a collaboration with my daughters. The concept is to show how climate change has taken its toll on the earth and yet we still have not done enough to slow it down. We created a wall and painted it a green color gradated down to a dark gray color. We then did 23 pieces of artwork to hang on the wall in various frames. We used various mediums to create the artwork.
